Dear Prayer Partners,

This message comes from Carolyn, one of our missionaries in Ghana directing evangelism for the Cup of Nations. Carolyn is a professor at the Baptist University in Ghana.

"For the first sports evangelism workshop we had 52 people representing 13 churches. They were an eager, responsive group!

Yesterday some student pastors got permission to put the TV in the chapel at the School of Theology and 50 fans came to watch the Ghana match. They shared the gospel

at half time and after the game and 8 men received Christ as Savior!

--Pray for people who were trained in the sports evangelism workshop to organize outreach efforts with their churches.

-- Pray for churches going to witness to people at the practice fields. On Jan. 17 two friends went with me to one practice field and there were about 400 people

standing outside the tall fence watching the team from Zambia practice. We shared tracts and met some young men who play football and share Christ with their

teammates. One of them says he wants to be a sports pastor. Praise the Lord.

-- Pray for me to find some calm times to prepare to teach a new course at the university among all this 'football fever'."

We praise God for your prayers!
