Dear Prayer Partners, JK, Ryan, Jeff, Barbara, Kevin and Kari Noel 2007
Thank you for your faithfulness in praying for us and the work God has called us to do here in West Africa!
I thought you would like to know which missionaries in West Africa are considered part of the Convention Team. Because of our work with the French speaking countries that have Baptist Conventions we normally supervise the educators in those countries. I will highlight those names in blue. Due to our temporary team leader status we will be supervising all these folks until Mike and Wanda's return!

Personal Note: &n bsp; ~My mother, Lucille Burns, has been doing great since her heart surgery, but is being troubled by residual water on her lungs, which causes an annoying coughing. Please pray this away! &nbs p;
~Jeff and I find ourselves very fatigued at this point. And leaving our family in America while we returned here has bothered me more than ever before.
Exciting Follow-up Stories on On-Going Sports Evangelism in Ghana for the Cup of Nations!!
"Greetings from Ghana, &nbs p;
The language here now is football (soccer). On Jan. 26, Saturday morning, we had 78 people representing 8 churches at the second sports evangelism workshop. Those who came were enthusiastic.
I was only home from the workshop about 30 min. before it was time to go to the stadium. I had bought 3 tickets for 2 of the volunteer men from MO and a driver and also took 2 African friends with me. We took tracts to share with people and I took face paint along to paint the Ghana flag on children. We told them the meaning of the colors yellow, black, red, and green to represent some spiritual truths. I painted yellow on the arms of 7 or 8 children and my friend added the red and green stripes on them in our assembly line. A crowd soon gathered and a nice man helped try to organize the children to line up. He also brought me a chair to sit down. When it was time to go in the stadium to find our seats, there was a line of at least 10 children all asking me to paint them next.
We may go back to talk with people outside the stadium on Jan. 31 even if I don't have tickets to go to the match.
Grace Baptist Church, the largest in Kumasi, has been showing matches every night except Wed. when they have their prayer service. One of their ministers told me today that they have been having at least 10 people pray to receive Christ each evening. He had their names and contact information written down so they can do follow up.
Carolyn"
In God's grace,
Barbara and Jeff
