Dear Prayer Partners,
In January you were praying for a volunteer team from Arkansas ministering
in Burkina Faso. The team was led by Larry and Edwina Rowell. Here is an
update of what God did!
The volunteers trained 11 pastors and 50 laymen in a conference entitled
Stewardship and the Christian.
They taught several sessions on worship in the International Church of
Ouagadougou (Baptist).
Seventy Burkinagbe (bur-keen-ah-bay) women attended a Bible study in the
village of Godyr (go-deer).
English as a Second Language principles were taught to three Baptist
university students. These will be using English lessons as an opening to
sharing the Gospel.
For the past two years during the volunteer team visit they have prayer
walked through a Fulani village. Now there are 20 believers! The village
elders are allowing the children and young people of the village the
freedom
to choose between Islam and Christianity!
The team worshiped in a Burkinagbe Baptist church that is sending out their
own missionaries to evangelize remote villages!
In one region a 55 year old widow is leading others to plant Baptist
churches in the bush!
The team was present while a Baptist church fed 150 children lunch, an act
of love they perform daily, to win the opportunity tell the children about
Jesus Christ. Some have already responded!
One courageous volunteer ate a succulent mixture of cow brains and potatoes
in tomato sauce!
God works when you pray!
Love in Christ,
Barbara and Jeff
