Dear Prayer Partners,

There is exciting news that you must read about! Four college students are setting out on an adventure, an adventure to do missions in the country Mali found in West Africa! The reason you all must know about this adventure is because it concerns spreading the Good News about our Lord and Saviour in a foreign country. The four of us: Joshua Ortega, Kevin Singerman, Kari Singerman, and Victoria Cavaliere, are joining up together to work with different people groups in the country of Mali. The two girls (Victoria & Kari) will be teaming up with two single, missionary, young women to help them do Bible storying among these women's people group. The two young men (Joshua & Kevin) will also be teaming up with two single, missionary young men, also working with another people group. We will all be a part of a missionary group under the IMB known as “One Story.” One Story is for those who have graduated from college (either single or married) and are willing to live in a village, eat with the people, sleep in the huts/houses they sleep in and learn the particular language. The point of living among the people and living the same way they do is to be saturated in the culture and language. The reason being to begin to do Bible storying with the people groups-to tell them of Jesus and the way He can transform their lives. The four of us are extremely excited and overjoyed to be able to go to West Africa (home to Kari and Kevin, a second visit to Africa for Joshua and a first visit to Africa for Victoria!). Our trip will take place around June 15th and we are planning to be in Mali for about 4 weeks. We wanted to, first and foremost, ask for your prayer support while we are all in Africa (and for our preparation!). As it says in Ephesians 6:18 “...To that end keep alert with all perseverance making supplication for all the saints. And also for me, that words may be given to me in opening my mouth boldly to proclaim the mystery of the gospel.” Prayer support is so very important for fellow believers; especially when they are on a mission to share the gospel.

We are asking prayers for:

protection-physically, financially and spiritually

Allowing us to encourage the missionaries we will be working with

Helping us to touch the people groups we will be working with

That God may shine through us and even though we will not be able to speak the language

We would have adequate communication through interpreters to share/show God's love

That God would keep us healthy and fit the entire time we are there

AND that we would see lives changed by Jesus entering into them!

We would greatly appreciate any prayer support you would be willing to give/pray. We know that this is an extremely important part of our trip. Thank you so very much!
