Dear Prayer Partners,

~Jeff will be leaving tomorrow, Monday, April 23, for our neighboring country of Togo to teach in our French West African Baptist Seminary.  He will be teaching a intensive class of 30 hours, on Leadership.  Yet, he hasnt recovered his energy level since Burkina Faso and the Togo convention. He will return on April 27.

~One of the greatest needs in our countries among our Baptist leadership is leadership skills.

~Kari and I hope to complete her senior year of class this week April 23-27.  She will be leaving for America May 21.

~Please make a covenant with me that the next time I share with you that our electricity is doing better, that you dont stop praying! J Each time I have been excited to tell you of our electricity’s recovery, the very next day well have none and the general electric situation will be worse!  This time the day after I wrote you the electricity went off for so long my refrigerator freezer was dripping and ice container was filled with inches of water. To follow were some very hot nights with fans unable to fan!

~I have malaria.  Not a terrible case, but enough to make smelling food and staying up on my feet un-enjoyable experiences.  Ryan just studied about malaria this past week in medical school.  I could wager a bet that he was the only student that had a mom with malaria at the same time as his studies!

Love in Christ,

Barbara and Jeff
