Jeff left North Shores Community Church, in New York, last night and today will be traveling to Columbus for an early flight tomorrow (Tuesday) morning to St. Louis for the West African Summit. He has been on the road, or in the air, since leaving Benin--and his schedule was intense before that! Pray for his continued stamina.

The women are turning over the greater portion of the work at Tori Bossito (which is an Ayizo village) to one of our Baptist church's about 25 kilometers away (the closest one). The church is working out strategy with the women of evangelism/church planting follow-up. Didier (did-dee-yea) one of our trained pastors, helped the women with the evangelism and intends to stay in Tori Bossito a month at a time, leaving his family, to encourage the new believers. Pray for God to guide, give great wisdom and provide all that is necessary to continue this awesome work. The women will continue, from this time forward, their follow-up work on a tri-monthly basis.

Kari has been deeply touched in working with deaf children. Mariam has three students, children who've never had any communication skills. (Three, by what I've seen, is plenty!!) The sign language used here is an adaptation of American Sign Language into French. Kari has had little problem with the switch over. The children's worlds are opening up through sign language. I've witnessed the brilliant delight on their faces when they recognize a sign and know its meaning! Precious beyond words. "Without language, how will these children ever know Christ?" This is Kari's burden and joy. Pray with us as God molds Kari and directs her into her future. Pray that these children and their parents would come to Christ.
